Hi, Changemakers!
As we approach the end of Q1, I’m asking myself two things:
How are we already this far into 2025 already? 🙃
Am I actually moving toward the goals I set with so much clarity (and caffeine) back in January?
This is the perfect moment to pause, not panic. Check in with yourself—not from a place of shame or hustle culture, but from a place of reflection and recalibration.
✨ What’s working?
🧭 Where might you need to pivot?
💪 And most importantly—where are you proud of yourself?
Over the past two years, I’ve instituted an annual and quarterly planning practice (shoutout to one of my fave coaches 🙌), and it’s been a game-changer for staying aligned with my goals. The best part? You can do this solo or as a leader with your team.
Goals exist at multiple levels. This is a great opportunity to practice holding complexity—tracking your own growth (personally and professionally) while also creating space for your team to reflect, reset, and realign. If you’re looking for a simple way to start, check out the Strategy Snapshot tool we’re sharing in this issue—it’s a great entry point for individual or team reflection.
Whether you’re crushing it or crawling forward, remember: this work is a marathon, not a sprint.
Keep showing up. Keep shifting.

Your Strategy Snapshot is a free tool to help you map what actually drives change, whether you’re reflecting on your own contributions as a leader or aligning your whole team.
It’s built around a Key Driver Diagram—a visual, fillable framework that connects your long-term goals to the conditions and actions needed to reach them.

📅 Let’s talk about aligning your strategy.
We’re always learning at The Collective Shift Co.—and we love sharing what’s sparking us. This month, dive into these must-read/watch resources:
📖 Rich White Men – I devoured this audiobook, written by a former nonprofit founder–a self-identified Rich White Man–who spent time in hundreds of C-suites fundraising from other Rich White Men. A bold look at how wealth, power, and intersectional privilege shape society—and how we shift it.
🎙️ PlayFULL Podcast – I had the opportunity to connect with Kristine Michie, the host of this podcast, over a virtual coffee recently. She’s on a mission to bring fun into the serious work of changing the world (so needed!!). A great episode to start with: Ushering Philanthropy into the Just Transition: Play, Power, and a 100-Year Vision with Justice Funders Network.
🎧 Redraw Your Path – And yes—did you know I have a podcast too? Redraw Your Path is a space where I have candid, soul-deep conversations with people reimagining success, leadership, and impact on their own terms. It’s deeply connected to our work at The Collective Shift Co., because the systems we’re trying to shift externally often mirror the ones we’re working to unlearn internally. Now’s a great time to explore the back catalog—especially if you’re looking for fresh inspiration before we launch the next season. Start listening here.
